據報道，土耳其安卡拉政府在市內的人行天橋和地下通道安裝了監控攝像頭，以監控機動車和行人安全同行。而這類監控攝像頭也安裝在了電梯和自動扶梯設備附近，以減少人為惡意毀壞設備的情況，同時也便于當局觀察電梯設備的運行情況。攝像視頻由“遠程自動化檢測中心”每天24小時不間斷監控。在發生電梯困人事件時，中心工作人員可以立即發現并與被困人員聯系。

ANKARA CAMERAS MonITOR OVER/UNDERPASSES AND RELATED VT

City officials in Ankara, Turkey, have added surveillance cameras to underpasses and overpasses to provide safe and uninterrupted transportation for both motorists and pedestrians, Railly News reports. Among other locations, the cameras have been placed near escalators and elevators to cut down on vandalism and help authorities monitor the operation of the vertical-transportation (VT) units. The video feeds from the cameras are monitored 24/7 at a "Remote Monitoring Automation Center." The system will also allow monitoring center personnel to communicate with elevator riders in the event of an entrapment.
